Claws 'N' Paws is a private zoo in the heart of Lake Ariel. It's often called "the zoo in the woods" because of it's woodland setting. We are open May until mid-late October.
Throughout the day there are a number of keeper-lead activities, many of which are designed to give the public a closer interaction with our animals. Lory parrot feedings and turtle town are some of our favorites

Hamlin Action- Two miles off of Route 590 in Hamlin, PA and nestled in the pristine rolling hills and valleys of the Pocono Mountains, sits the Hamlin Speedway. Our 50-minute excursion is a stunning guided tour on Lake Wallenpaupack, On the tour you will learn about the history of the Lake and why this area has become a popular year around attraction. You will see the Lake Wallenpaupack Hydroelectric Dam, spot native wildlife (Osprey, Blue Herons, Bald Eagles), learn about the types of fish in the Lake, view Shuman Point Natural Area & see one of the four islands on the Lake - Epply Island.

The Stourbridge Line is operated by the Delaware Lackawaxen & Stourbridge Railroad Company (DL&S), offering  a seasonal schedule with limited weekday & weekend service as well as community related event trains from Presidents Day through the Fall Foliage Season. Enjoy Twenty five miles of historic railroad winding through Northeastern PA along the Lackawaxen River Valley. Experience the history & beauty of this ride on The Stourbridge Line.

Lahey Family Fun Park is a family owned amusement center for the whole family. The newly renovated Arcade hosts the best games and prizes for year-round fun. Lahey features two 18 hole Miniature Golf courses, a 1/4 mile Go-Kart track with 2 over/under bridges, 9 Batting Cages where you can choose your own speed in Baseball or Softball, and Bumper Boats on a natural pond. The Lackawanna Historical Society was founded in 1886 to preserve the history of Lackawanna County, for the benefit of future generations. It is the oldest cultural institution in the county. Through the support of its members, the Society has collected significant published works, manuscripts, maps and atlases, documents, and artifacts capturing the area's rich and historical resources. Since 1942, the Society has operated from its present location, the Catlin House, built in 1912, in the city of Scranton. Once the sixteen-room residence of George H. Catlin, an early financier in the city, and his wife Helen, the turn-of-the-century home now serves as the organization's headquarters - accommodating exhibits, lectures, and research activities. 

Tanners Falls Trail is a 1 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Honesdale, Pennsylvania that features a waterfall and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and birding and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Located in the North Section of the community, The Hideout Golf Course features 9 challenging holes totaling 3,344 yards of green expanse.  Throughout the season the course is host to numerous tournaments and charitable events.  Nestled in the lower level of the Clubhouse is the Golf Pro Shop, fully stocked with supplies and apparel.  Motorized cart rentals are available through the Pro Shop for you to enjoy a beautiful summer day on the course.

Come play on our Tom Fazio Championship Course. It was designed in 1966, and construction was completed in 1974. The signature 6th and 16th holes each have an unencumbered, spectacular view of Lake Wallenpaupack. Great play on our verdant fairways, impeccable greens, rolling berms and water hazards, complemented by over 70 acres of golf-side lakes, waterways and wooded areas, provide exceptional views from virtually every hole.
